Description:
Within the solid stone walls of a former textile works, the Bowfield Club
was established in 1976. Hotel residents have full use of this large leisure
facility. The bedrooms, decorated in country cottage style, are located in
the quiet wing of the building and enjoy open countryside views. Food
service ranges from bar snacks to full meals in the hotel restaurant. The
location of the hotel makes it an ideal base for a last night stay in
Scotland for guests departing on morning flights from the Glasgow Airport.
The hotel is non-smoking except in the bar and lounge. Scottish Tourist
Board "4 Star", AA "3 Star". Member of "Taste of Scotland".
Location:
From the M8 at Glasgow Airport take the A737 towards Irvine for
approximately 6 miles. Exit left on the B787 towards Howwood, then either
take immediate 2nd right on a single track short cut to Bowfield, or drive
on into Howwood and take the B776 for one mile to bring you back to Bowfield
at the large white gateposts.
