A Week In... the Mediterranean
2007 Itinerary featuring 9 days from $4,990

Tauck’s Mediterranean cruise aboard the 60-passenger yacht Le Ponant takes in Malta, the Amalfi Coast and remote Mediterranean islands; she was designed to visit small harbors and remote destinations that large ships can’t access. Discover the islands of Lipari, Ponza, Stromboli, Corsica, and Sicily, home to timeless antiquities, fortified medieval towns, ornate cathedrals, and colorful harbor towns, and finish your cruise with a 2-night stay in the glittering allure of Monte-Carlo plus a taste of the Cote d’Azur.

Day 3: Antiquities on Sicily

Sail to Lipari, the largest of the seven Aeolian Islands. A guided sightseeing tour includes a visit to the Archaeological Museum. Day 5: Drive along the spectacular Amalfi Coast
Go ashore at Salerno, and set out on the mountainous route along the Amalfi Coast, one of the most spectacular drives in the world. Arrive in stunning Ravello, perched on cliffs overlooking the sea.
