Oxford so different are there on your doorstep – ask to
see the view from the Junior Suite for your next visit!

Art beat
The hotel and restaurant feature an impressive collection
of 20th Century British art, personally selected by the
hotel’s owner, Jeremy Mogford. There are original Stanley
Spencer prints in each bedroom, two photographic
collections from the famous local photographer Paddy
Summerfield in reception as well as a vast array of
drawings, oils, sculpture and paintings throughout the
hotel.
Furnishings
Designed by Gladys Wagner of Wagner Designs, Paris, the
bedrooms are elegant, luxurious and comfortable. Original
combinations such as linen bed covers trimmed with velvet
and shantung silk and suede headboards with monogrammed
tabards characterise rooms. 250-thread count Egyptian
cotton bedlinen and designer furniture with Nina Campbell
and Andrew Martin fabrics are throughout.
Comfort
The beds are divine – large, comfortable, Richmond
pocketed and nested hand tufted mattresses with feather
pillows create the perfect night’s sleep. Luxury blankets
are available and many of the beds are twinnable for
convenience.

Deluxe bathroom products are available to you and we would
be delighted if you took them with you. Luxurious bathroom
linens and guest robes are selected for their comfort and
are available for purchase if you decide you can’t live
without them.

have equipped each bedroom accordingly. Work desks,

all your essentials such as blank CD, floppy disk, writing

moment of inspiration!
Quench
At
the heart of the hotel is Quod restaurant. The busiest
restaurant in town, it is contemporarily designed with
stone floors, an oval zinc-topped bar, leather banquette
seating and huge oil paintings. The food is fresh, the
menus light with a modern British influence. To top it all
off, the cocktails are heavenly! Try the Raspberry
Collins, the bar’s signature drink to get your evening off
to a flyer.
The OBH Bar, at
the back of the hotel is for residents only (although
guest’s friends are welcome) and serves drinks in the
private Garden Room or to your room with the minimum of

Food
Transformed from two Georgian
buildings, Quod Restaurant & Bar occupies a former banking hall on the
ground floor of the Old Bank Hotel. The oval zinc topped bar forms the
centre piece of the restaurant, which has become a firm favourite for
business visitors, students and tourists alike.
Open from 12 noon until 11pm, the
perennially vibrant atmosphere combined with a modern British menu
gives the restaurant a unique feel, completed by the views out of
original wooden arched windows onto the University Church , All Souls
College and the Radcliffe Camera. Quod offers daily specials and an
Express Lunch between 12pm and 3pm as well as a wide selection of
options for children. The south-facing terrace is ideal for lunch,
dinner or a relaxing afternoon with friends. Quod also has private
dining facilities, seating up to 22 people in the Red Room.
The restaurant is also the venue for
hotel guests to take their breakfast. Here you can relax in the
laid-back atmosphere with the morning papers, and your choice of
continental buffet or full English breakfast.
