Will you be visiting London soon? Would you like to explore the unique buildings and wonderful heritage of this famous capital in comfort? I can show you the places the tour buses miss and much more such as Windsor Castle, Hampton Court, Warwick Castle and Stratford upon Avon. A comfortable car and your own guide will ensure the best trip possible. Our guided tours by car cover all the main London historical and cultural sights as well as Windsor, Hampton Court,Warwick Castle etc.Each tour is designed to offer clients the most interesting and full day out being driven at their own pace and stopping for as little or as long as they wish.Our driver/guides are mature individuals who care for their clients needs and offer the best and friendliest service.All are trained chauffeurs with expert knowledge of London and an interest in matters historical,cultural and political.
We are happy to meet clients at the airport or hotel and offer half day, full day and evening tours. Having collected you from your hotel and ascertained the particular points of interest you wish included in the tour we visit landmarks such as Westminster Abbey, Buckingham Palace, Downing Street, Trafalgar Square etc. We then drive via the Embankment towards the Tower of London taking in various points of interest stopping for photographs as desired.On to London Bridge and The Monument. The Monument commemorates the Great Fire of London (circa 1666) and the energetic can climb 311 steps to a spectacular view of the City of London and the River Thames. Ample oxygen awaits if you are short of breath, however; good coffee and doughnuts are just a few steps away once you are back downstairs. We then drive past the Mansion House which is the Lord Mayor of London's official residence,the Stock Exchange and Bank of England. St.Pauls Cathedral is our next stop where you can explore the whispering gallery located high in the dome,or just admire the interior from ground level.
Around the corner is " The Old Bailey"or Central Criminal Court and the scene of many famous murder trials.The acid bath murderer,Crippin and Ruth Ellis the murderess both saw the trial judge don the famous black cap before sentencing them to death.
On via many more historical landmarks in the City of London to Fleet Street which was for many years the home of all the big London daily newspapers.Along the Strand where in the 18th Century "Toffs"or "Dandys" used to promenade to see and be seen.
How about a stroll across Tower Bridge to view the Tower of London? Next stop Covent Garden in the heart of Theatreland which was previously a bustling London flower market serving hundreds of trades people from 4.a.m.each day. Here street artists, live entertainment, market stalls and a wide variety of small shops offer unusual craftwork and gifts. Clients stroll at leisure with the guide or on their own as they wish. Plenty of time now for shopping,photographs,a coffee or maybe something stronger in a pub if desired!
Shopping trips to famous London stores such as Harrods, Hamleys ( the famous toy store for younger visitors) can also be arranged as required.
Outside of London but just a day trip away is Royal Hampton Court with its lovely grounds, famous vine and Henry VIIIths. tennis court.Situated on the River Thames and built by Cardinal Thomas Wolsey as a personal palace much to the envy of Henry V111th, the ghost of Anne walks the corridors and rooms she lived and loved.
Windsor Castle,one of the present day residences of Queen Elizabeth with rooms of Royal treasures and State Apartments looking out to the playing fields of Eton school is just one hour from London. Here one may still see the boys in full morning dress walking through Eton between lessons. Runneymede(where King John was forced by the Barons to sign Magna Carta in 1215) is just a short drive trip away as is the Kennedy Memorial.
The Cotswolds, Stratford on Avon (home of William Shakespeare) are just a day away as are historic Winchester,seat of King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table.
If history excites the senses we can bring it alive with a trip to Stonehenge and its sacred Druid stone circle. How were they erected and why we ask? Further north at the Viking museum in York we can see, hear and smell the daily life of the village people as we travel seated in a time machine.
If Naval history is of interest then Southward we venture to Portsmouth. Tread the decks of H.M.S.Victory,Admiral Lord Nelson's flagship and see where he fell at the battle of Trafalgar. Nearby is The Mary Rose, flagship of King Henry VIIIth.salvaged from the depths of the Solent and now preserved with many of its artifacts.

famous for their antique shops. Return through some delightful countryside via Arundel
Castle, home of the Duke of Norfolk and his ancestors for over 700 years, built in the
11th century, situated in magnificent grounds overlooking the river Arun, or Petworth
house with one of the largest and finest collections of pictures in the country; Turner
has a studio here and painted many pictures of the large and beautiful deer park.

Winchester - One capital of England
with its fine Norman cathedral, ancient school and quaint streets that wind their way up
to the castle where King Arthur's Round Table can be seen.
Salisbury - A medieval city dominated by its magnificent cathedral built in only 60
years from 1220 to 1280 with the tallest spire in Britain.
Stonehenge - Britain's darkest mystery, no one ever discovered why this strange
prehistoric circle of stone was erected nearly 5000 years ago.

colleges and secluded gardens, Blenheim Palace, birthplace of Sir Winston Churchill, the
