Out of Ordinary Private Day Tours in Italy
1. Wine tours
Wine is as much a part of the Italian national identity as the pope, the mafia and soccer. Let your personal sommelier take you to two working wineries, and give you an in-depth look at the making of some of Italy's most important wines. Mold, barrelmaking, holidays, politics, even soccer... nothing is off limits when you're talking about the national beverage. You'll see every step firsthand, from the vines in the fields to the bottling machine. 2. Day Cooking Classes
Take a special cooking lesson in a private Italian home and then eat the fruits of your labors. You'll take a scenic afternoon drive to a private home where you'll spend the next two hours with your sleeves rolled up, doing things like rolling pasta, stuffing meat or fish dishes, and baking cantucci almond bicuits. As the food cooks and the lesson settles in you can stroll the property or hear about the local wines and products. Sit down to a relaxed evening of those same wines and the dishes you've prepared.
3. Biking and Walking
The perfect recharge from museum fatigue. Spend a full day with friends or family enjoying in full the backroads of some of the most beautiful countryside in the world. A morning bike ride through the hills of Tuscany or Umbria will leave you hungry for a leisurely lunch in a working winery. After lunch leave the bikes and spend the afternoon walking nature trails and quiet streets, taking in the breathtaking views. Ideal for families with children (or adults!) who need periodic re-energizing.
4. Balooning over Tuscany
See Tuscany from a different
perspective. We will take you early morning to a launch pad near San Giovanni
D'Asso near Siena to meet your navigator.
After half an hour preparation you will be up in the sky admiring some of the
best vistas of Tuscany. After about two hours you will land safely in the
fields and get transfer back to the town ready for a good lunch. Continue the
day by driving some of the back roads of Tuscany with Kodak moments at every
curve.
5. Shopping Tours
Rome, Florence and Milan are the meccas for a serious shopper. With the maze of narrow streets and hundreds of boutique shops it take days to check out you list.
