Self drive in Ireland 8 days 7 nights
Day 1 - Welcome to Ireland!
Collection of your pre-booked car at Dublin Airport and drive to the Abberley Court Hotel in Tallaght, outskirts of Dublin. From the hotel there’s direct access into city centre by LUAS train, no headaches for traffic or parking but at the same time easy access to Dublin surroundings for excursions.
Day 2 - Galway, a gate to the West
Full Irish breakfast. This morning we’ll drive across the Midlands to Galway City. On the way a suggested stop will be at Clonmacnoise monastic site, on the banks of River Shannon. Arrival in Galway and time to discover this lovely city of western Ireland. Overnight at the Days Hotel.
Day 3 - The Burren and the Cliffs of Moher
Full Irish brekfast. A scenic drive down the coast of Galway Bay will bring you to Black Head, an impressive panoramic point overlooking the ocean and the Burren Region’s lunar landscapes. A few miles further a stop at Cliff of Moher is a “must”. Take your time for your memory photo and a walk around. Continuation to Limerick area with possibility to visit the Bunratty Castle and Folk Park. Overnight at the Castle Oaks Hotel.
Day 4 - Dingle Peninsula
After your full Irish breakfast you can drive to Dingle. It’s a nice town overlooking the namesake bay... don’t miss the chance of a cruise maybe you will meet Fungie the Dolphin! You can continue down the coastal road to see the dramatic cliffs, the sandy beaches, the “beehive” houses. Then you take the road to Killarney where a late arrival is probably expected. Overnight at the Darby O’Gills.
Day 5 - Ring of Kerry
After your full Irish breakfast you have a whole day to eplore the famous Ring of Kerry or to enjoy the spectacular views of Killarney National Park. Today Hibernia Tours wants to offer you the chance to join a ride on one of the jaunting cars in Killarney National Park. Back to hotel for overnight.
Day 6 - Medieval Ireland
After breakfast departure to Cork. Kinsale and Cobh are two nice villages on the coast where you can enjoy tasteful seafood dishes. Then you will have the possibility to voisit the impressive Rock of Cashel and Cahir Castle. Overnight at Cahir House Hotel.
Day 7 - Back to Dublin
After breakfast, you drive back to Dublin with possibility to stop in Kilkenny. Overnight at the Abbey Court Hotel.
Day 8 - Goodbye!
Full Irish breakfast. Car drop off at Dublin Airport and departure
