The Alandalus Express is a
luxurious moving hotel, a unique lookout point to contemplate the andalusian
scenery. Within its walls we encounter the décor, attention and gastronomy
that take us through the tunnel of time to the glamour of the Belle Epoque.
Travelling through Andalusia aboard this magical train is a unique
experience, a privilege of romantic recollections marked with the seal of
distinction and elegance.
The Alandalus is comprised of fourteen cars. A kitchen car, two restaurant
cars; the Alhambra and the Gibralfaro, a bar car; the Giralda, a lounge and
recreational cars; the Medina Azahara, seven sleeping cars, with a maximum
capacity of 74 passengers in the 37 club cabins, a personnel car and a
generator car. The train has been carefully restored, keeping its original
décor and adding to it the comfort of modern trains. All the cars are
equipped with air conditioning and heating systems.

In the south of Spain, the exquisite vintage
Al Andalus Express travels through picturesque Andalucía. Its decor inspired
by the glamour of the Belle Epoque, the train is both elegant and romantic. The
trip takes in the small cities of Seville, Cordoba, Baeza, Granada, Ronda, and
Jerez de la Frontera. Trips begin and end in Seville. (For travelers flying into
Madrid or Seville before embarking on the Al Andalus trip, we have prepared
special city packages which include private transfer from the airport, two-night
stays at deluxe hotels, and transportation to the Al Andalus.)
Day trips take in the famed Mosque and old Jewish
Quarter in Cordoba; the Moorish Alhambra in Granada; a visit to the Almazara
Museum to see the process used to extract oil from olives; the oldest bullring
in Spain, in Ronda; the Royal Spanish Riding School in Jerez; a tasting visit to
a winery; and an evening horse-drawn carriage ride in Seville.

Day One, Sunday
Seville – Cordoba
Meeting point at 12.00 hours in platform 12 at Santa Justa Railway
Station in Seville.
A personal welcome by our staff followed by immediate boarding on the
Al-Andalus Express which will then commence its journey through the
fascinating and legendary cities of Andalusia.
Presentation and welcome cocktail on board as we depart for Cordova.
Lunch on board the train. In the afternoon, we visit the city of Cordova
(its famous Mosque, the Jewish quarter…) where several ancient cultures
learned to co-exist in complete harmony. Return to the train after the
tour where dinner will await us.
Overnight on board the Al-Andalus Express.

Day Two, Monday
Cordoba – Granada
Breakfast on board as we continue our journey on to Granada.
Lunch on board. Arrival in Granada and free time to visit this
extraordinary city.

Day Three,
Tuesday
Granada
Breakfast on board.
Transfer to the impressive Alhambra Palace, for a tour of the Nazarine
palaces and the incomparable gardens of the Generalife. Lunch will be
enjoyed at a select local restaurant.
Afternoon free to wander and explore this historical city and perhaps to
purchase some of its local handicrafts. Dinner and overnight on board in
Granada

Day Four,
Wednesday
Granada
Breakfast on board Depart for Jerez de la Frontera. Lunch on board.
Arrival in Jerez with free time to visit the city. Dinner and overnight
on board the train in Jerez de la Frontera.

Thursday
Jerez - Sevilla
Breakfast on board.
We visit the city of Jerez . Lunch in a local restaurant.
Return to the train to continue our trip to Seville.
Dinner and overnight on board .

Sevilla
Breakfast on board the Al-Andalus Express.
End of journey at Santa Justa Station at 10.00 hours.

- SAFETY DEPOSIT BOX:
There is one in each cabin, for private use of our guests.
- MEETING POINT:
The passengers will have the meeting point with our stewardesses at
12:00 hours at the Reception Desk of the Al Andalus train at the Santa
Justa Railway Station of Seville.
- SLEEPING NIGHTS:
Will take place aboard the train in the stations indicated in the
program.
- SERVICES ABOARD:
Games, prospects, DVD’s, magazines, first aid kits , blow dryers and
irons, will be available to you requesting them to our stewardesses.
- LUGGAGE:
There is no weight limit for your luggage at the Al Andalus, we do
recommend however that due to the space limitations of the train you
try to take into consideration the volume of it.
- INSURANCE:
We recommend you take up with your agency a personal policy of
assistance, theft, accident, disease, cancellation expenses of the
trip due to illness or accident.
- IBERRAIL, S.A.-AL ANDALUS reserves
itself the right to cancel, modify or alter the program without
previous notice, for motives of a RENFE strike (Red Nacional de
Ferrocarriles Españoles) or causes of major force.
