On Mexico's exquisite Pacific Coast, the Pierre Marques resort is considered Acapulco's best kept secret. This elegant resort is situated on the Pacific Ocean on 480 acres along Revolcadero Beach overlooking the Sierra Madre mountains. Once the private hideaway of J. Paul Getty, the resort is only 5 miles (10 mins.) from the International airport and 20 minutes from downtown Acapulco.
The hotel is open from November through February.
Accommodations
344 Rooms. The main building
consists of 75 rooms and 10 Junior Suites, all with oceanview. The tower is a
five-storey building with 81 oceanview rooms, 14 oceanview Junior Suites and 11
Junior Executive Suites. In the traditional Mexican-style villa fashion are 96
rooms, 44 Junior Suites and 2 one-bedroom suites, all with garden view.
All rooms are of generous size, handsomely furnished with large windows, private
bathroom with bath, shower and sink, air conditioning, radio, terrace or patio,
direct dial telephones (with voicemail), marble floors covered with area rugs
and large closets.
Restaurants
The resort offers a choice of
dining opportunities
La Terraza is an informal outdoor restaurant overlooking the pools and the
ocean. Buffet and a la carte breakfast and dinner. Mexican and American
specialities for Lunch.
El Tabachin is an elegant air-conditioned restaurant featuring continental
cuisine in a luxurious atmosphere with background piano music. The decor is in
warm earth tones, complemented by tropical flowers and original paintings.
Dinner only.
The Golf Snack Bar, overlooking the Pierre Marques golf course, offers full bar
service, sandwiches and snacks in the open air.
The Pierre Bar is in a breathtaking outdoor location overlooking Revolcadero
Beach, close to the hotel pools. Here are offered speciality drinks or customary
favorites in a relaxed atmosphere with dancing nightly to romantic music.
Guests at the Pierre Marques have access to all the facilities of the adjacent
Acapulco Princess. There is a complimentary shuttle bus service between the
resorts.

Golf - At the Pierre Marques: 18 hole, 6,855 yard, par 72 golf course designed by Percy Clifford and remodeled in 1982 by Robert Trent Jones. Acapulco's most challenging course. Open November through February. At the Acapulco Princess: an 18 hole, 6,355 yard, par 72 championship golf course designed by Ted Robinson.
Tennis - Five outdoor tennis courts - all lighted. Two indoor and nine outdoor courts at the Acapulco Princess.
Swimming / Watersports - Three freshwater pools and a children's wading pool. Complete range of water sports available through independent concessionaires.
