If you've ever felt like you needed an escape from the everyday world, here's the ideal solution: a sunny sea kayaking sojourn in the British and U.S. Virgin Islands, a blessed little spot where the world intersects with paradise. The beaches and reefs are unsurpassed in their beauty, and the water is so clear you can see the bottom 60 feet below.

For one enchanting week you'll call this paradise home: paddle through shimmering sapphire seas and snorkel over coral reefs teeming with colorful marine life, then come ashore to feel the warm sand between your toes, relax beneath the gentle rustling of coconut palms while dinner is prepared (with palate-pleasing menus inspired by ethnic foods from the Caribbean and beyond), and sleep at night beneath the stars on wide sandy beaches.

All levels of sea kayaking experience are welcome; expert guides will teach you everything you need to know.

Day 1 - Travel to St. John, U.S. Virgin Islands.

Day 2 - Transfer to Peter Island in the British Virgin Islands. Introduction to sea kayaking basics and afternoon paddle to our first campsite.

Day 3 - Paddle to Norman Island, alleged inspiration for Robert Louis Stevenson's Treasure Island, for lunch in a floating bar and restaurant. Return to Peter Island.

Day 4 - Cross the Sir Francis Drake Channel to the West End of Tortola. Head to Jost Van Dyke Island, once the reputed hideaway of a Dutch pirate, and stay at cabins on one of the island's best beaches.

Day 5 - Day paddle to a nearby uninhabited island to swim and play in the surf.

Day 6 - Paddle back to St. John, stopping at one of the island's beautiful north shore beaches en route.

Day 7 - Fly home.
